To the east and south of the Palace, its scenographic gardens invite you to "stroll" and experience a space where sumptuous parties were organised and which today are elements of a centuries-old scenographic memory.

The Chapel, built in the 18th century, is also a major symbol of Baroque architecture. A place of worship, this space was the scene of countless celebrations and its organ, dating from before it was built, still transports us to the Baroque atmosphere of times gone by.

The Casa de Mateus Chapel and its gardens can be rented out for weddings. The conditions of use are subject to approval by the management of the Casa de Mateus Foundation and prior budgeting. The Casa de Mateus Foundation does not offer any catering services, but companies that provide this type of service can be contacted.
